Rapid technological advances are resulting in the development of systems that can perceive, reason, analyze, learn, adapt, and self-organize. Such systems will certainly have great economic, environmental and social impact. To further the development of intelligent systems, Peoples Education Society (PES) is setting up a Centre for Intelligent Systems (CIS) with inputs and support from organizations/persons with similar agenda, and collaborations with universities in India and abroad.
Prof. Kumpati S. Narendra, Yale University, is the Scientific Advisor of the Centre. The interdisciplinary centre aims to form a strong core group comprising key persons from academia, R&D laboratories and industries. It is expected that it become a global competence centre that is also sensitized to the Indian context.
